τρῑβώλετερ, obscure word found only in Alc.38: cited by Heph.11.3, who attests its metrical form (--[pron. full] ?τριβώλετερX?τριβώλετερX), and by Choerob. in Theod.1.262 H., al., who says it is an [dialect] Aeol. voc., proparox., and means εἶδος ἀκάνθης: the quantity is against Bergk's derivation from Τρῐβολολετηρ 'caltrop-devourer'.
